Blur layer mask over the pano

Hello forum.
I'm looking for ANY solution on how to add blur layer mask over the pano. Like here, for example http://www.cmap.illinois.gov/mobility/explore/#/ .
Is there ANY way to achieve this? Over the krpano or css mask over the panodiv or any other way? Flash or HTML5, doesnt matter. Better both but solution for one of them is fine.

That should be doable for html5 to support. It would be a really cool effect for layers or hotspots or the krpano layer.
It seems to work fine straight in the DOM.
Now how to make a mask for the krpano layer.. I have no clue.
