Simultaneous panorama play/view

Is it/Would it be possible to handle two panoramas at once simultaneously? E.g.: Client moves the first panorama and the other behaves like the 1st.

Thx in advance!

I am sure it can be done, but I am not sure how accurate, using javascript you could pass the values from one to the other.

I'll try to make an example.

here is the example :)

http://mundopano.com/test/javascript2.html
I modified the JS2 example that came with krpano.

basically you need to copy the swfobject code to create another instance, name it krpano2.

then modifiy the javascript code to this

Source code

function krpano()
	{
		return document.getElementById("krpanoSWFObject");
	}

	function krpano2()
	{
		return document.getElementById("krpanoSWFObject2");
	}

	function getlookat()
	{
		var hlookat = Number( krpano().get("view.hlookat") );
		var vlookat = Number( krpano().get("view.vlookat") );
		var fov     = Number( krpano().get("view.fov")     );

		krpano2().set("view.hlookat",hlookat);
		krpano2().set("view.vlookat",vlookat);
		krpano2().set("view.fov",fov);

click on "click to continuous get lookat"

I think this could be posible with a AS3 plugin, using events it should be much smoother.

That could be fun to play with.

Place the two panos side by side... one a day shot, the other a night view... or two different seasons... or for some remodeling demos... etc...

Could have some creative fun with it as well... have them stacked on top like the demo... but flip / invert / rotate to make the bottom the mirror image of the top... and then just go get stupid dizzy. That pano klaus used for the 3d sound demo would look great like that *g*

Nice idea AEnima and good demo Shanti.

*thumbsup*

Thanx a lot!

Hello Shanti,

thanx for the sollution! That's great! Sorry for not responding for such a long time! There's only one problem with this that the 2nd panorama isn't so smooth and its quality is always low. Could it be smoother and the quality high?
Thanx in advance!!!

Not sure about making it smoother... there's lots of simultaneous processing going on in that case.

You can change the quality with the display properties... movequality / stillquality... ref link: http://www.krpano.com/docu/xml/#display

But - bumping the movequality to high is likely to increase the bumpiness.

I think the overall quality / speed would improve by scaling down the "stages"... but haven't tried.

Hi,

it should be possible to use the "onviewchanged" event to make it smoother, then the updates are intermediately,

and the problem of always "low" quality should be also fixed with that (it was always low because the view variables were always updated by the timer, even if there was no moving),

I'm trying to prepare an example for that,

best regards,
Klaus
