Software for running tour 'locally' on android devices

For demo's I want to run a VR tour locally on iPhone and Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S6)

For iPhone I can use goodreader, but I need a solution for Android, installing the files is easy but Chrome browser won't run 'local' xml files.

Tried using Firefox (which does work with local files) but VR experience is really poor and makes (even me) feel sick.

So... any ideas on best way to run VR tour locally on Android, not using Firefox?

For best local VR performance, create an app with Android Studio which will use the updatable Webview component available on Lollipop (5.0) / Galaxy S6
