Vray stereoscopic cube map usage and tour?

Hi,

I have recently downloaded a demo of KRPano, and I am trying
to create a VR tour that can be viewed on my Android phone and experienced
through a VR headset (I have the Homido headset - it’s a bit cheap and
cheerful)

I have rendered a CGI interior scene using Vray, and I have
rendered the image as a stereoscopic 6x1 cube image that has 6 cubes for the
left eye and 6 for the right eye - so the full image is made up of 12 cubes.

Does anyone know how I can use this stereoscopic image to
create a VR stereoscopic tour using KRPano?

I can see some people on these forums have managed it but I'm
struggling to figure it out?

Thank you.

Hi,

try that:
  1. split the cubestrips images into single cube faces (an image editor or the krpano maketiles tool could be used for that)
  2. name the filenames of the left and right images individually (e.g. pano1_left_*.jpg and pano1_right_*.jpg - * is for the cubeside)
  3. drop all cube faces files together on the MAKE VTOUR droplet
  4. edit the tour.xml and remove the 'right' scenes
  5. edit the 'left' scenes and add there to the <image> element these settings: stereo="true" stereolabel="left|right"
  6. edit the image urls and replace the 'left' with %t
  7. done
For more information about <image> syntax for stereoscopic images see here:
http://krpano.com/docu/xml/#image.stereo

Best regards,
