Stereoscopic mobile VR mode hotspots showing rotating behind

Hi i have managed to get the VR panorama working on cardboard on both iphone and android and it works great

the only one issue i am having is that when goign to vr mode on mobiles my hotspot icons seem to be rotating in front of you when you turn your back to them

it is as if you are actually going aroudn the outside the icons when looking around. I have tried switching distortion and zoom settings on the hotpots but nothign seems to fix it.
I am using my own png icons in the url setting of each hotpsot

this is the only issue i need to fix can anyone help please
