12:1 cubic image to krpano

Hi guys, I am trying to use krpano with the new Vray for Rhino stereo image output. These are 12:1 cube maps:
https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY…eoscopic+Render

I understood I need to split the images into 2x 6:1 cube maps, but then?
Do I need to break them down even further into single squares? Can I automate that process?
Thanks!!

Yes. You need to split the cube images into single side-images and rename them like this:
pano_u = up
pano_d = down
pano_l = left
pano_r = right
pano_f = front
pano_b = back

These images can then be used with the krpano-make tools!

I see, is there any tool to do it automatically?

None that I´m aware of. But you could use the record action-function inside of Photoshop.

Does Rhino not support spherical panoramas like Mental Ray, Vray or Corona do? These can be used directly with the krpano-tools.

Hi,

just as note - the next krpano release will support several stereoscopic formats directly as input.

Best regards,
Klaus
