window.activekrpanowindow and parent = BGLAYER

I’ve hit on this issue before in the post below but did not get any response.…72664#post72664

After further contemplation and digging I found this forum thread which is going in a direction that points at the issue I’m having, with a plugin I created that appends a traditional HTML <select> element to the plugin.…indow#post49639

The only difference is that the issue of the <select> element not gaining focus only happens when it is outside/behind of the <area>, meaning parent=BGLAYER.
This must work outside/behind of the pano with parent=BGLAYER.

The suggested remedy of window.activekrpanowindow=null; does not seem to work for me
I’ve tried adding this code to the plugin @ load and as part of the onready: callback to no avail.

The dropdown DOES work when it has focus AND you then press the space bar ( probably due to window.activekrpanowindow not being null. ).

ANY help, direction, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
