Nah nah nah. Like, don't require the entry pad at all.
It's just something resident in the background.. and don't require a reset, have it autoreset..
like on scene 2 password is 6155

if you put in 16155 it doesn't work. If you the password feature itself is secret, then it's hard to enter in the right password.
I'm almost done with this project I'm working on .. I'll code this up and show you and work on the enhanced security feature too.

Hi Tuur

I guess I did something wrong:)

My tour is generated by PTP 1.8

in the virtualtour0.xml I have

<action name="onxmlcompleteaction">
Password('item', 1234, LpToNormal(), openurl(http://www.krpano.com,_top) );
plugin[combobox].selectiditem(combobox0);
if(autorotate.enabled==false,set(plugin[autorotationOFF].visible,false); set(plugin[autorotationON].visible,true);,set(plugin[autorotationOFF].visible,true); set(plugin[autorotationON].visible,false););
</action>

I type 1234 and can see the tour but it comes with an error

WARNING: unknown action: lptonormal
ERROR: unknown attribute/path - scene[get(secretscene)].password
ERROR: unknown attribute/path - scene[get(secretscene)].password

Second thing, when I walk inside tour and come back to the first panorama I still have to type the password.

My intention is, that the user has to type in the password to enter first scene and then he can walk inside without any problems.

Can you tell what am I doing wrong?

Hi,

The Lptonormal action is a custom action. As you can see in the code provided.
You can change that to an action you like to happen when the password is ok.
Are you using the 185 or the 193 version?. They are a bit different still. I come with update with 1.19 release.

It is made to use with scenes, so better call it in the onstart of your first scene.
In the update this will be an option. Btw.. In the 193 version this first scene protection is not working as you might expect.
There are better ways of doing that.
The 'type password only once' i will also implement in the update.
It was not designed for this 'first scene' password in the first place but as many people use it like that i will antticipate on that. It was made to protect things inside a tour, not for main entrance.

Of course you are free to change things in the code to make it work as you like but you can send me your xml files or project and then i have a look somewhere this week.

loading view

Hi Turr,
Thank you for the great plugin. I have a question though.

Every time I have a defined start-view, such as:

Source code

1
<view hlookat="110" vlookat="0" fovtype="MFOV" fov="120" maxpixelzoom="2.0" fovmin="70" fovmax="140" limitview="auto" />

The view will load, however as soon as you go to navigate (click and drag) the password plugin somehow re-sets the view to 0,0. Even if that page was not protected. I know it is the password plugin because when I comment out the plugin include statement then the view loads as it was designed to.
Any thoughts on this?

- which version of the passwordplugin do you use? 185 or 193?

- on which krpano version are you running'?

Maybe you can send me a link or the project?

On further investigation,
it appears as though when you disable / comment out the

Source code

1
<include url="pw_vr.xml" />

Statement it will load a predefined view.

Before the tour (Little Planet Intro) Can I set a password? Where can I see detailed usage? *confused*
Also, can you use it permanently with one purchase?

Can you use it if you buy only the top item except the two items as shown below?

Hi,

when you buy the 'plugin', you can use it as much as you like.
Updates are for free.
It is also open source so you could make changes you wish.

The idea is to protect items within the tour. Secret scenes and/or hotspots etc..
Not as a 'Gatekeeper'. It is possible though.
The update will have that functionality build in.

I am about to release 2-3 new products. After that i will make an update of this plugin.
If you buy the 'plugin' and you need some help with it you can always contact me.

Hi kangsj2277,

Hard to say from here without example.
Do you try to protect the first scene of the tour?
If so, then there is no 'pwlastscene'.. in pwback action.

That option is not available in this version. It is not as a gate keeper.
It is possible to alter the code though to make that work.

you could do something like:

if(pwlastscene == null, openurl(https://www.krpano.com,_top));

or something like that in the PwBack action.
In the next version this first scene protection will be added.

If you find this problem not on the first scene, please give more info or link to example.
