It seems that Krpano Linux tools require minimum GLIBC 2.14. I found it in this thread: https://krpano.com/forum/wbb/index.php?p…glibc#post54241

however, if I go to the download page, it says that Linux tools require GLIBC 2.4 https://krpano.com/download/

Which is correct?

Alexey

Hi,

the core krpanotools file (the 'krpanotools' executable) has GLIBC 2.4 as minimum.

Only the 'krpano Tools' GUI application requires GLIBC 2.14 as minimum.

The older krpanotools versions have an even lower requirement on Linux libraries, but it's unfortunately not possible to do both -be compatible and very old and newer Linux versions... That's unfortunately a typical Linux problem... Windows is much better here when it comes to compatibility.

About your problem - sounds like a compatibility problem, try directly calling the krpanotools from SSH to get more information about the exact case.

Best regards,
Klaus

The Location of the krpanotools is the problem.

Hi,

I also set up a server with krpanotools as like you'd like to
I also tested a lot for getting the result of the krpanotools.

What was the most important thing is the location of the krpanotools.
What I had known from some experiments is that I had to use absolute path based on server based directory NOT relative path.

If your apache server based on /var/www/ directory,
use "u0566741/data/www/alexeyonline.ru/krpano/krpanotools" with out '/var/www/'

Hopefully this help you out.

Thanks.

Take a look at this thread for some insight.
The "solution" relates to encryption but applies to just about any other process/command you could be doing with krpanotools executable server-side.

The key with all of this is waiting for the process/command to finish up before moving on.

Hi guys!

I need an advice of those of you who use Krpano tools on web servers.

I use the tools to make multires panoramas on our server and I noticed that when the tools process a pano CPU usage jumps to 99.9%. I use exec() command to launch Krpanotools and as far as I can see there's no such option to limit exec CPU usage from PHP.

Is CPU usage 99.9% for Krpano tools normal and if not how can I limit or decrease it?

Any advice is highly appreciated! *smile*

We had the same issues.
Having switched to AWS, we use a Lambda function to handle all of our krpanotools now.
