Strange Things in iOS

Hello, I'll try and keep this short but descriptive.

We have a very simple tour that has some BGSOUND enabled. On Android things are fine, nothing strange. However on iOS when we try and go into VR mode a white popup blank screen shows up...we have found that this is some sort of player that ios is bringing up. If we close this the tour continues just fine. It's as if ios is deciding to play with it's internal audio player or something...

Has anyone else seen this...we are running the latest 1.19 pr 16.

Yes I have the same issue! Black background and white square overlaying the VRTour.
If you tap on this overlay it shows that it is the native audio player of iOS trying to play a sound.

If anybody has a solution please post!

That would be pretty strange and not normal - please post a link to your example.

Dear Klaus,

I found two of the similar issues reported in the forum so I answered them both in case somebody finds one or another.
The solution for the issue, but I don't know how this will affect 360 video playback:

when you open the inappbrowser you must set the option "mediaPlaybackRequiresUserAction=yes".

I have Cordova 9, latest inappbrowser.
I'm opening a WebVr scene with hotspots, everything works as expected, but once you are clicking on the button to Enter VR, first the krpano settings panel is showing up because it not recognizes my iPhone 11, then after 2-3 sec the native audio player overlays the entire VR.
This issue must be related with to the new inappbrowser > 1.5.5^dev and present in both 1.19 and 1.20 krpano.

I cannot post an example because of privacy contract with Audi AG.

Hi,

disable the wakelock hack:
https://krpano.com/plugins/webvr/#mobilevr_wakelock

That 'hack' is designed for Safari, custom iOS webviews are working differently.

E.g.

Quellcode

1
<plugin name="webvr" ... mobilevr_wakelock="false" />

Best regards,
Klaus
