XML Parsing failed -- but firefox says the XML is good

Alas, I have never had good luck in my irregular upgrades of krpano -- my older XML files tend to break in new versions. My latest fun is getting "fatal error -- xml parsing failed" with no additional information like what line or element the problem was on. All the files load fine in firefox and show no syntax errors. I had a series of includes so I hand combined them and still there's an error -- but no clue as to where.

So what are the best techniques to diagnose this?

Hi,

i often start with drag and drop the xml file in the browser screen.
Should show the error and location of it.

Hope it helps,

Well, yes, as I said, I have put the XML into firefox and chrome, and they find no problems. XMLlint, noted above, also finds no problems.

However, it looks like the problem is something deeper, in that if I reduce the xml page to a blank page it still gets the error, so something bigger must have changed.

Well, I did attach the file to the first post -- but it did not seem to stick.

I eventually solved it by manually doing includes for now. It seems to be some problem with includes, but I will keep trying to track it down. A bunch of other problems to resolve on the upgrade now...
