How to create depth map using laser scanned

Hi all,
I would like to seek help for the methods of creating the depth map using laser scanned.

here is my steps, but unfortunately , it is not working after trying for few days. *confused* *confused*

1.Export panorama images from scanner

2.Export point cloud and process it using capture reality to become a 3d mesh model with texture

3.Export 3d mesh model as STL(ascii) format and OBJ format

4.Process the panorama images using {MAKE VTOUR DROPLET.exe}

5.Open {Vtour folder},place my stl or obj inside {panos / 1.tiles} respectively to each panorama tiles

6.Copy the depth map coding from Documentation

Anybody can guide me creating depth map through the use of laser scanner? *confused* *confused*

Appreciate
Thanks
Regards

Hi Jerome

So basically, the 360 panorama works perfectly fine in virtual tour. However, the depthmap was the issue. Im using the 3d mesh model created using capture reality as depthmap for my virtual tour.
Unfortunately,it looks like a normal virtual tour and seems the depthmap isnt working at all, which could not able to give me same 3d visual result and navigation as shown on the link below

https://krpano.com/releases/1.20.9/viewer/krpano.html?xml=examples/depthmap/abu-simbel-tempel-tour/tour.xml&initvars.editmode=true

your obj model is vertically oriented.
you should export it horizontal with camera position at xyz=0
and if you want to see the depthmap effect you have to include for example the depthmap navigation plugin : https://krpano.com/viewsource.html?relea…_navigation.xml

Hi Jerome,
from the capture reality export setting, the xyz seems to be in horizontal. The attachment is my export settings.
I tried open obj using blender, indeed, it will appears to become vertical, but changing xy to -90 it will rotate to horizontal.
But, are you able to still create a deptmap effect tour even though the cameral position wasn't at 0?if yes, can you share it with me?

and for cameral position xyz=0,can u explain it more, i dont really get it when u said cameral position *confused* *confused* *confused*
