Panimator

Hi All,

We proudly present the Panimator Bundle.

The bundle contains 3 scripts:
- Panimator add-on for Blender
- timelines.js for Krpano
- dolly.js for Krpano

With the bundle you can animate hotspot or cam behaviour in Blender and play it in Krpano.

During development we constructed a technical example. We started it without a plan and it just originated.
We are very pleased that we have been allowed to use some of the nice panorama's from Alphons Nieuwenhuis that he made for the 'STRAAT' museum in Amsterdam. You should visit when you are there.
For the example we used the panos just to make the model as a 'carrier' for our new feature.
There is no direct connection to the museum or the subject of it.

Yes, we had fun ;-)

Looks really interesting with lots of opportunities. Just have to find a market for it with clients.

I must admit I have grown quite attached to blender since starting with it about 6 months ago. You can make anything and plenty of free info/tutorials out there *thumbsup*

Congrats Tuur and Mische !

As far as I see you can do
1) Cinematic intros / camera animations, if you have a true 3d scene.
2) Hotspot animations with and I guess also without having a 3d scene.
and as in the example tour combinations of both !

The example is astonishing... ! *squint*

Very cool for guided tours tor example!

Hi,

thank you all!
I think these are great new functionalities we add to the platform.
I can imagine many ways of usage, but yes.. it's quite specific. Easy to use though.
We really look out for the 3d hotspot coming and other model related new stuf we hopefully get, like multires textures.. or multiple obj.. etc..

I'll be back later to give some more insight in the promo example details.

yes that is correct!
To understand the power a bit, if you start the photocubes (example 4) and go quick to example 3 to start the yahtzee.. then you can see how 50+ timelines running 50+ hotspots at the same time.
That could be a small crowd ;-)

Everpano

Yes! Panimator also works in everpano projects.

All you have to is importing the finished model into Blender and scale it a bit down.

Quicktutorial and example here:

Hi Panimators,

We have send a little update for the Blender add-on to all Panimators today.
If you didn't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact me by email.

The update is mostly about being compatible with the HotspotStyler add-on

Der mische and Tuur *thumbsup*

Panimation Caclculator

Hi!

I have created a calculator for Panimation timelines.

It was actually just a private project to practice some Javascript..
But I want to publish it because it works very well and can be quite helpful in certain situations:
  • For example, if you have created a nice hotspot animation with different values for scaling and want to shrink or enlarge the animation afterwards.
  • Or if you want to move the entire animation to a different floor.
  • Or if you have moved your scenes for some reason and need to move the animations with them.

Live Tester
There is also a live tester, where the calculator is included directly into a krpano project.
Here you can do calculations at the hotspot and camera animations from our starter-tutorial.

In this example you can run the updated timelines immediately!

Panimation-Calculator (Live-Tester)

[If you want to do calculations on your timelines, you can do it here:
Panimation-Calculator

Best regards!

If there is a character model in the scene, can you walk with animation? Will the version be upgraded? Can add lights

if we see nice options in future versions we'll investigate and probably make a new version yes or add functionality if needed.
We'll see what comes in the later 1.21 versions.
