Smooth transition like Matterport via depthmap or OBJ file

Hi friends,

I am a newbie and I want to ask a basic question.

I'm rendering panoramas from 3DS MAX. I can also render depth maps for the panorama but I for the whole apartment.

I can export a .OBJ file too. Can I use these files (depthmap and obj file) or a combination of them to achieve a smooth transition between panoramas? or can I generate a doll house?

If yes will you please advise me? thank you for any advice.

Hi and welcome!

You should definitely look at the Everpano 3D Plugin for krpano.
Here is the latest version's forum post

The modelling is still done inside the software tho, so out-of-the-box you won't be able to use your obj's.

Let me know what you think!

Question

hi djodi,

Thanks for answer, it looks very good. I have a question: if I have hotspots on the panorama, will there be a smooth transition between the panoramas and with the hotspots? for example, I place a hotspot with an image on the anorama, if I go to another panorama, will the image be preserved in the panorama?

The hotspots are placed in relation to x, y and z (scene) instead of atv, ath (sphere) coordinates.

You can create and inspect hotspots in 3d space in the Abu Simbel tour in editmode.
