video mask distorted hotspot

hi all,
long time no write
hope everything is well you you all

i filmed a ship making a canon salute in the river and i'd like to mask/soften the transitions in the water, sky and a hard transition on the structure that is in front of him

i've found forum posts from 2009 but they all refer "flash only"
is it possible with current videoplayer plugin?
thank you for the help

Hi, Piotr,

edit: its done. 2nd attachment added. thanks.

thank you for the fast response i've been in the chroma key example but not on the other one.

in my case its a video and i think its a waste, on my case, to have half a video, static, with same settings all through the video but i can accomplish that with ffmpeg, yes

check the attachment please

i'd like "only" to add a jpg/png to mask everything out with some soft transition on the right/top/bottom and some hard on the tower... like.. starting with a screenshot and paint everthiyng out (or in, depending on the mask)

if mask stored in the file itself is the only way then i'll script it with ffmpeg

according to https://krpano.com/docu/xml/#hotspot.alphachannel
unless i misunderstood the "inline" it doesn't seem to be possible. i'll have to duplicate video width

thank you!

I haven't yet used it in my projects, but it could actually be a third option. Try it. *thumbup*
