Plugin encryption/registraion

I’m wondering where I can find information on how to “encrypt” plugins for a third party.
Like, I made plugin and need to encrypt it with their email/username.
I see a lot of plugin developers having this type of registration system, but I can’t seem to find instructions on how to do that for myself.
Anyone here that can give some direction?
