WebXR resolution drop in Oculus Quest II

Can anybody confirm resolution drop in VR in Oculus Quest II after lates firmware update?
Oversampling settings seem to not affect image resolution at all.

The issue appears in the same way in krpano 1.20 and latest 1.21 and affects panorama images and hotspots

It seems a month ago everything was ok, and now it's much worse

Found a fix by running these commands in sidequest

adb shell setprop debug.oculus.textureWidth 3072
adb shell setprop debug.oculus.textureHeight 3072

All this is a very big problem. The current 50 Oculus Quest 2 firmware has caused the webxr render resolution to drop to 2880*1584 (according to the test at the link: https://krpano.com/examples/webxr/) This is extremely small for comfortable viewing of virtual tours. As tests have shown, to view photo panoramas, it is worth setting the resolution to 6144 * 3380. (If you have 360 high resolution video files, it is better to set 5120*2816). The tests were carried out using direct adb commands setting the required values. The problem is that the parameters set through the adb command are reset after the device is rebooted.

On firmware version 51, the problem persists.

Hi,

I can confirm the problem, I see that the resolution is lower now.
But that's not something I can change, only Oculus/Meta can do that.

I have made a post here now:
https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Qu…ight/true#M6030

Maybe reply there to give the problem more attention.

Best regards,
Klaus
