New files structure-whats the idea

    I am curious about the new folder structure. What is the advantage behind it.

    I sometimes use an xml template and just generate new tiles and that means I have to use the old tools for doing it unless I change all the xml links also.
    I am not going to do that unless the new structure has some special new advantages that loads the levels better.

    if you mean the tilepath setting for multires panos where an additional folder for the vertical tile rows will be used - the reason for this change was to reduce the number of files in a single folder, which can result in faster server loading performance.

    When a folder contains just 100-1.000 tiles, the server might serve the files faster than when the folder contains 10.000-100.000 files (but this also depends on the server of course).

    That means this setting might only affect very large panos.
