< and > not escaping in flash textfield

Hi,

I am adding the following html to a textfield which contain < and > escaped using [ and ]

html="[p]Use mouse or keys:[br /] [ and ] to change time[br /] arrow keys to rotate[br /] A and Z to zoom[/p]"

works in HTML5, put the flash viewer truncates after "keys:", assumeably because flash thinks my < is a html tag.

How do I make this work? I have tried using < and >with no luck.
