360 video 'moving hotspots' procedure, editor

Hi all,

i had some fun getting the, so called, 'moving hotspots' in 360 video to work.
i need some things to figure out but i'm quite far now.

Watch these 4 video's to see what i mean.

http://youtu.be/i2-h1pbiJvY
http://youtu.be/HRkMZItDyRY
http://youtu.be/lE84YR6BLJM
http://youtu.be/620QJXEYkSo

I wish i had a 360 video set and a new mac pro to make my own content and example footage… but it's out of my budget range at the moment.

I hope you like it!
I'm thinking about releasing it as a plugin in some form.

Cheers
Tuur *thumbsup*

Thanks..
not done yet.

a few steps to make..
but my question would be : What options would users .. so you producers.. want to see on top of this.
Do you like to see the actual rx ry rz info in the editor? and if yes.. why?

etcetc..

i think, when i'm done, it is very simple to use. And you can make it as funky as you like because you can do all your krpano fun with it..

Working and going to test on :

- adding more timelines .. like 100..
- protection and registration
- making higher framerate work better
- making a tour with 360 and 360 video with also tracking hotspots

so as i am working on it i would like questions and tech inspiration.

Yes!! that would be kind of easy ;-)
You can also 'track that hotspot to something that moves in the video.
You will have 'total' krpano freedom!!
But for the release that would be a paid version, i like to make one more thing possible that i didn't do yet.
I hope i manage to release that one this week. Depends a bit.

I try to release the free trial with watermark and 2 timelines today, but that could be tomorrow morning.
Need a few small things to do. but i think it is possible to release tonight or tomorrow.
We'll see

;-)

Hi all,

i have a free trial with 2 timelines and a watermark.. just to make you get know with the procedure and idea behind it. I would recommend: first read the pdf and then start to have fun.

I hope you like it and that we all make beautiful creative things in the future.
I want to bring the 'full' first version on the market, i hope this week.
But there are some things to be done and mainly tested.

But first have fun with the trial and start thinking about what we can do from now.. Rather easy i would say.

The download is here:

Enjoy!

Mind blowing awesome, Tuur *thumbsup* I came up with my own tracking-system almost one year ago to attach hotspots to rotating 3d-maps, but your attempt is so much better for daily use AND it also seems to be fun to work with!

Keep it up and it´s great to finally hear your voice after all this time *g*

I hope some people download the tool trial and play with it.
Read the pdf!
Maybe watch the video's.

But i like to hear from 360 video people what they would like to see as extra options, or extra information visible in editor mode.

Working now on unique tracking speed for each timeline

Thanks

Look great Tuur :)

How can I make the hotspots clickable. For example the Villa for sale I would like it to take me to another webpage for information, can thsui be done. I see the cosde in the settings.xml

if(vtmh_tpoint GE 8,
if(vtmh_tpoint LE 20,
set(hotspot[trackinghtsp_1].url, skin/villa_1.png);
);
);

Am I in the right place to add an actual url?

Look forward to hearing from you - this is exciting stuff :)

Just add there also:

Set( hotspot[trackinghtsp_1]. Ondown, openurl(blabla..

Sorry, on ipad now.

Iwould first pause the video.
Plugin[video1].pause();openurl(blabla,_blank...

This way you can do 'anything'

Enjoy!

Thanks Tuur, no rush but when you have time could you give me a full chunk of code as an example to make openurl work. I am still a bit of a newbie so just need a guiding hand :)

In the pdf is that big chunck of blue code.
That is a textfield changing looks and behaviour.
Ther you could find also an open url example.
Or check this forum.

Thanks Tuur,

you mean like this:
<hotspot name="trackinghtsp_1" url="../skin/villa_1.png" style="vtmh_trackinghtspstyle" zorder="5" ondown="openurl('http://www.krpano.com');"/>

I tried this but nothing doing :(
