Quality of photos not very sharp?

  • Hi there,

I'm using krpano for a 140-ish-degree pano and the result is not nearly as sharp as in the photo that I'm ingesting in to krpano. I'm pretty sure I have all of the quality settings up as high as they'll go.

    Here's the original (web ready):

And here it is in the krpano viewer:

Does this have anything to do with the height of the photo? The one I'm ingesting into krpano is a JPG sized at 16948 x 4000. Is there some kind of minimum dimensions for krpano? Or could it be because it's not a 360? I've noticed that it doesn't generate html5 images for this unless I use panotour pro. But not if I use krpano on its own.

Thanks for any help. I'd love to get this photo as crisp as possible.

  • You are using an illegal/hacked Panotour Pro license (and so also an illegal krpano license) and asking for support?!
    Sorry - no way!

Here the prove - 'teameat' is a hacker group which is offering hacked Panotour Pro versions:

I would recommend either to buy and use legal licenses or to remove that Panotour Pro version and all files and panos that were created with it as soon as possible!

?showlicenseinfo wow!wonderful!can see who steel my licence haha

  • Thank you so much for pointing that out. Shame on me.

Yes, I'm using the hacked version because I have the same crispness problem with the trial versions of both krpano and panotour -- believe me if it works, I'll buy it, but if it doesn't it would be a waste of money. Since the same problem exists with the trial, can I assume it's a problem with the software? I can't spend thousands of dollars on software that won't do what I need it to. This is all just a test to see if this is the right software for the job, and nothing will be published until the proper licenses are acquired, of course!

  • By the way, the quality of photos is not very sharp beacuse of the source image, not because of the software, of course!
Just check it and zoom the image to 100% and you will see how blurry it is

Yeah I know the original isn't super sharp, but the one in the player seemed to be less so. I will try with some different photos and if I have success I'll buy before I use it professionally, of course. Thanks for your help and understanding.
