Limit view and gyro

Hi,

I was wondering if the gyro makes the limit view not working..?

What is the question here? I see no code in your example related to view.limitview. Also gyro is device="html5" so it is not related to limitview anyway as in e.g. Flash where I test your link now it is not started. Maybe I missed the point.

Look on desktop. Click logo.
Little planet, limitview is off so you can do loopings.
On ipad, gyro is on. Limit view off does not work. On android it does.
I think when gyro kicks in limitview off is ignored or so..
See html for code and pano1.xml and pano2.xml

Here it works... No gyro

Hi,

the reason for this is how the gyro works - it 'calculates' the current looking position instead of moving from one position to another one - when targeting the device above the nadir or zenith limit the position on the 'other' side will be calculated - and due the rotated view (camroll) it looks like the viewing limit has been passed - but technically it's still within the viewing limits.

I hope I could have explained that understandable...

E.g. try with the gyro setting camroll=false to better understand what really happens:

Best regards,
Klaus
