Drop-down Menu plugin

Now you can create menu in this program. Drop-down menu is deprecated.

Hi Alex, very nice. Any possibility of having a menu within sub menu i.e If I have a button for lets say "Restaurants" and I have a listing of over 200 restaurants I would want to break it down in to a sub menu alphabetical listing of Restaurants A-D, E-H, I-K etc and then show a list of those restaurants that fall into each section? So 3 levels instead of 2.

If that was possible then I would buy the plugin no question :)

Yes. You can create the 3 levels menu. You can see it in this example. http://www.classic-ru.org/krpano_menu/example_levels.htm
Use to create the extra level of menu this action, instead of usual: createmenuItemE(1,2);
Be carefull with the screen width when you use 3 level menu.
And it's all.

The code is open. You can see and edit it.
The simple way is to change the decoration of your menu. Just change the styles for button and texts at the head of xml.

Excuse me, I can't understand the question. It is the new plugin. If you download dropDownMenuV2.zip from here then it is. It allows to create 3 level menu.

Hi Alex, do you think it is possible for the buttons to be in a layer so I could hide a set of buttons and just have a "Menu" tab? If possible would you know how?

There is action that's allows to switch the visible of the menu
onclick="switchDMvisible();"
You can found it in example when you click on the scene name.
So, you can create the <layer name="menu" onclick="switchDMvisible();"/> and hide or call menu

Hi Alex, how can I align the buttons not on the top but stacked on say the left hand side. Like this image

This is the parent level, so it will still have a sub menu (3 levels in total)

createmenuItem(1,2,topleft,10,h,180,a);

3-d parameter is align. In your case order left, lefttop or leftbottom
4-th parameter is the margin from align point. You can use percentages and pixels
5-th parameter is orientation. If you want to create vertical menu, as on your picture, use "v".

and it's all.

Hi Alex, I have tried the orientation but that seems only to affect the submenu position not the main parent buttons?

There needs to be a way to set the margin from the top as well as the left which seems to be the default that way I can have the buttons all align left and for each button I can set the margin from the top so that I end up with a column of buttons all on the left hand side. Is there a way I can do this?

The orientation and the margin you set to the main buttons. The position of submenu this program generate automaticaly.
When you set horizontal orientation the margin calculates on x axis
When you set vertical orientation the margin calculates on y axis

Ok thansk Alec. Just one other thinsg. I want to keep the menu items in a separate xml so I can add/edit it easily. How is the best way to do this?

Hi Alex, I appear to be having a few problems with the drop down menu. Sometimes the sub menu does not disappear and other submenus appear over the top of others.

In this example if you click away at the various menus especially "restaurants", toggle between fine dining and thai and then go to other buttons and after a while the submenus do not clear themselves. You will notice that many of the items have no Onclick action as yet but that is intentional at this stage.

You can see the xml here just in case I have done something wrong.

Here is a screen shot of the mess its getting into!

Hi!
You place the buttons too close each to other. No events on our happens. Take in your mind that textfield is not the usual layer. It's exceed the size you order as usual.
I make the space between the buttons 30 pixels and it's all works correct www.classic-ru.org/krpano_menu/example_levels1.htm
