Hi Tuur,
Can you explain a bit how to make a DVD of a virtual tour. Its sounds a very good, but I cant find anywhere in the documentation how you are doing it. I guess you burn all files on to the DVD and make an exe file or something that executes when the DVD is loaded. I read in another post that you made a flash menu for it, so are you doing this as part of the tour ?
Hope you are well, many thanks for any advice,
tom

Hi Tom,
Klaus has made a tool called Kprotect to do this kind of things...
Look at this thread to start to have an idea: kprotect - krpano Protect Tool
I think there is no documentation for now, it's a beta version, but the program has a GUI and it's self explanatory.
Good Luck.Salut.

Ah ha ! thanks Michel !
I thought it was just for protecting panoramas, but I have read its actually much much more - fantastic, Klaus and krpano never cease to amaze ! thanks for info !
Best wishes,
tom

Hi,
well it goes further... when you krprotect your file to an .exe or .app you maybe have to rewrite a bit because the gallery (simplegallery) and i also think Shanti's thumbnail scroller have to be outside the exe/app.... ( i think... for me it works like that) because it says...?xmlDataPath=Gall/gallery.xml ...maybe somebody can confirm that...
well somebody else made this flash menu which calls the exe or app to start and then it's nice to now this line.... onstart="set(fullscreen)... etc that only works when exe or app ( i think) maybe it does no harm online..(???)
confirmation??
and this one..
<action name="close">
fscommand ("quit");
</action>here you make an button that calls the action so that people can exit..
To start the dvd automaticaly :
you make a simple text file called: autorun.inf
including:
[AutoRun]
OPEN=ilovekrpano.exeThe text file... you put in the root of the dvd! somebody just explained it to me like this... didn't try it my self but must be not that difficult
So ... lets just try... one of these days.
Good luck

yes
there are two reason why embedding such plugins doesn't work:- the http-get parameters (?parameter=value&...) can'be passed because the file isn't loaded via http
- the plugin itselfs loads other files with own loading methods (but the next 1.0.8 beta 9 provides a loading interface to be able to load also embedded files)
onstart="set(fullscreen)... etc that only works when exe or app ( i think) maybe it does no harm online..(???)
confirmation??
yes, using - set(fullscreen, true); - to switch to fullscreen is possible in the standalone flashplayers,
online the switching to fullscreens requires an user interaction like an mouse click or keyboard press (a security restriction of the Flashplayer)best regards,
Klaus -

Hi,
the fscommand() action can be only used when running inside the 'standalone' Flashplayer (or also called Flashplayer Projector),
best regards,
Klaus -
This is not the standalone flash player?
-
Yes it is.

Hi,
you would maybe need to use the original krpano files,
not the Panotour Pro swf files, best regards,

Would you know what I have forgotten?
