I like the skin that comes with vtour and the possibility to have both map and thumbnail list. But I would like to use imagemap (floorplan) instead of google or bing maps. Is that possible?

You can use TourCreator http://www.tcreator.classic-ru.org/
It allows to include as many image map in your tour, as you need. It creates buttons to show your plans. You can also calls plans from menu, hotspots click (include functions). Additionally you can reorder the appearance of the plan in different scenes.
It also allows work with bingo or google map and include them simultaneously with plans.
