Non distorted hotspot in VR mode?

In my project, a hotspot will open a pop up with HTML content (as a layer) but then in VR mode you cannot interact with the close button which is at top right corner of the pop up.

So I'm thinking of making the pop up become a hotspot. Is it possible to make a non-distorted hotspot to be visible in VR mode? Or is there anyway to achieve the same result?

I did try adding HTML content to distorted hotspot from this thread Example: iframes (or any other html content) as distorted hotspot

But the iframe is not showing in VR mode.

Only images can be used as distorted hotspots in VR mode, for the moment...
