iOS Videoplayer issue / question (in landscape mode)

I wonder if someone can lend a hand: I'm having a little issue with a 360 video we've created.. It all seems to work fine except for one small problem:

If I open the URL (e.g. with an iPhone which is already in landscape mode, then the address is visible and I can't get rid of it.
If I rotate the phone to portrait and then back again it goes fullscreen as expected. Attached a screenshot for context..

Is this just a quirk of the way the iPhone works or is there a way I can get round it?

Thanks in advance *smile*
