3d non 360 video in Vr mode either as hotspot or layer?

Hi All

Currently working on a project that the client wants to include 3D non 360 Video. Is this possible as either a hotspot or as a layer in VR mode? They are also asking about the potential of implementing live video in this way. From reading through notes I understand that this should all be possible with 'normal' video or 2D video.

Am i right in thinking that in 3D 360 panos video is possible and if so when using the videoplayer plugin is it possible to also output 3D video content or is it limited to 2D?

Ideally I'm looking for 3d video in standard 4:3 or 16:9 format to be available in a layer but hotspot would be cool too.
