how to handle cubestrips

  • hello
i would like to use some rendered cubestrips (1x12) to generate a normal and a stereotour.
since cubestripes are not suported at the time (i guess) i am looking for a workflow to do this.
i think besides cutting, i have also to rotate the top and bottom views 90 degrees (ccw and cw).
are there any tools available, that would do that? any hints on how to create them? at least i could do it manually but i am not sure about the right "naming" -sorry for my bad english!!!
    i found a tut from klaus https://krpano.com/forum/wbb/inde…tereo#post61649
and as far as i understand , after changing the xml file the tour should automatically create a normal and a stereo tour?! i will try that,
but any advice on how to handle and name the cubemaps would be great.

    kind regards imke

  • ok i managed to create a tour https://www.atelierdreikant.ch/vtour/tour.html with editing the xml file as described in klaus step by step tutorial-
deleting the right scene blocks and adding stereo="true" stereolabels="L|R"... (Cam1L_back.jpg, Cam1R_back.jpg, Cam1L_left.jpg, Cam1R_left.jpg...are the names of the cubemaps)
changing to VR mode i get these errormessages:
    INFO: krpano 1.19-pr8 (build 2016-09-30)
    INFO: HTML5/Desktop - Firefox 50.0 - WebGL
    ERROR: loading of 'panos/Cam11.tiles/vr/pano_f.jpg' failed!

there are only Cam1-5L/R.tiles in that folder, what generates the 1 after every pano name???
    can anyone help me ?

  • please can anybody give me a hint what to check?
why is the viewer searching for panos/Cam11.tiles/vr/pano_f.jpg ???

the code in the xml for stereolabels="L|R" if="!webvr.isenabled
seems to be right though ( all paths should work)

could somebody be so kind and help a total beginner please???

    kind regards
    imke

edit: problem solved, i had to add the stereolabels L|R to ALL image tags, also the if="webvr.isenabled" one
    THANKS FOR LISTENING

  • Hi.

I'm also a beginner, but in the last days I managed to be able to complete all the steps that you are trying to do, successfully.

Please take a look at the tutorial.

  • Moin Pilzlicht,

hat es einen Grund, warum Du keinen spezifischen Pfad angibst? Also anstelle von:

    <cube url="panos/Cam1%t.tiles/%s/l2/%v/l2_%s_%v_%h.jpg" />

    einfach:

    <cube url="panos/Cam1L.tiles/%s/l2/%v/l2_%s_%v_%h.jpg" />

    Gruß,

  • hi nupsi
    gruss
    imke
