Hi Klaus,
is there any limit for the size of the pano for ktransform? I try
to convert a pano of 25000*12500 to cubes and it fails with an
'user32.dll' error.
Best regards,
Christoph

Hi,
this is a small bug in the kmakemultires tool,
here you find bugfixed versions:
Hi Klaus,
thanks a lot for the update for 'kmakemultires', but as mentioned
I have the problem with 'ktransform'.
Best regards,
Christoph
ohh
sorry, I thought you asked about kmakemultires
there should be no limit for ktransform, but ktransform needs a lot of free disk space
on the drive where the users TEMP directories lie (typical C:)
how much free disk space and how much ram does your system have?
Hi Klaus,
Disk space: 3GB
Ram: 3GB
Regards,
Chris
Hi,
3GB disk/ram should be enough for a 25000x12500 image,
such image would need only ~1.2 GB for processing (=25000 * 125000 * 4 bytes)
- did you get the error immediately or while processing?
- and which Windows Version do you use?
2000, XP, Vista?
32 or 64bit?
if 32bit - with or without the /3GB switch?
thanks,
Klaus
Hi,
that's a really strange error - unfortunately I couldn't reproduce it yet,
some more questions please:
- do you know if your windows swap file is disabled
- do you know the size of the window swap file
how to find the size - see here:
http://www.mysuperpc.com/pmu/virtual_me…file_size.shtml
addtionally you can try this version:
https://krpano.com/temp/ktransform_test.zip
in this version the memory manager works without the windows swap file (could be slower in some situations)
but maybe it works...
best regards,
Klaus
Hi,
sorry, I have currently no idea what this could be
the programm doesn't load any external dll dynamically...
have you checked your windows swap file settings?
mabe it's a windows problem, I found this note from Microsoft about this problem, but I don't think it will help...

My case is similar. I wanted to use kTransforme to obtain 6 cube faces from an equi 40'000 x 20'000 px.
The process (sphere_to_cube_jpg) was stopped because of 'not enough memory.
My computer turns on Win XP 32 bits, 4 Gb RAM, swap file 4092, Space on HD = 209 Gb.

Hi,
are you using the latest 1.0.8 beta 9 version?
