Enable css3D by default instead of WebGL

  • Hi All

I'm experiencing problems with my KR Pano tour when it runs on iPad 3 io9 and on 5 yr old computers running IE11. However looking through the HTML5 link on KR Pano's site (https://krpano.com/docu/html5/) I tried the CSS3D tour and it ran fine on all of these devices. So the question is how do I enable CSS3D by defualt in place of WebGL or is there a best practise for older device compatibility that I'm missing here? Here is the link to my 360 pano: http://bunkermedia.com.au/360/tour.html

  • Hi Klaus

Thanks heaps for the code and after trying it, the WebGL certainly performs best on newer systems but I've had problems with my iPad 3 and even my MacBook Pro running Safari not handling the WebGL very well, but the CSS3D very well.

Are there some performance tips that you would give to help it run faster? My photo size I think is around 8000-10000 pixels wide, I guess that might have something to do with it?

Otherwise is there a way to detect what device is using the KRPano and can I set it to default to CSS3D if it is an older device?

    Thanks again *smile*
