gyro2 softstart broken??

Softstart seems to be broken as of r.10 at least. Doesn't matter what value I use, the view quickly snaps. Klaus?

Hmmmm. Maybe it was a cache issue for me, yesterday. Sorry.

Though working it doesn't seem to be quite as described: "The softstart setting defines the number of seconds for this 'fade-in' process." It seems to actually be the number of tenths of seconds. The example has been changed to softset="10". But instead of 10 seconds, it is taking about 1.

Hi,

I have checked and tested the sources again now and the interpolation-time itself is correct, but the ''fading' process is very dynamic and not linearly because of the moving start point and the moving target point, so they can converge quicker than the actual fading time...

I've tried finding a formula for correcting that non-linearity but haven't found a good working one yet, either it starts too quick or too slow...

Maybe it's not such a problem. Set at 10 it seems fine to me, now. It may not behave exactly as I would expect from the description but it works. Possibly a documentation change could be in order. You have more pressing programming issues to deal with (Web Audio?????)
