I have a custom Google Maps plugin with a <select> element and a <div>( with an onclick attribute )that is added to the DOM via plugin.sprite.appendChild();
When the layer/plugin has parent=‘BGLAYER’ the <select> element will not work/dropdown AND when clicking on the select element, a style is appended to the <body> tag style=“user-select: none;”.
However it works as expected when the layer/plugin is a “child” of the <area>, parent=‘’.
Also, the <div> with the onclick event and all other Google Maps control elements works in both scenarios
Anyone have any ideas as to why this is occurring?
Here are some links to screen captures of the situation.
