germain. something like that might be able to be done using photoshop extended with the 3d tools. i made this a while back just playing around with 2 equirec's. the inner globe is a warped movie clip but the outter is an actual sphere wrapped. you can create a cube with it as you are trying to do also. you need a really fast PC to use the 3d tools and more important a really fast video card. that does not get it into krpano though so you can move it around freely.

i like the idea and outside of using 6 cube faces in flash cs5 and exporting them into and swf you can use in krpano i too wonder if that can be done.
