Zoom in webvr examples

• Hi,

please provide more information about your case - e.g. system, browser, headset and so on.

Best regards,
Klaus

Hi again

I did play with my case and now it does not behave strangle, it simply does not zoom in. What I did wrong,I used your your code in webvr.xm not inthe tour.xml.
Also the vebvr icon is disabled when I load the tour, after going to any panorama, vr button appeals.

Can you please have a look at my code?

Thank you
Marcin

• hi, i just tried it
in your examples i watched tokyo and it works good.

chrome 67.0
krpano pr19

then i copied the test.xml from the example
merged-it into my code and i got this fast zoom out when i enter webvr (fake mode in pc and oculus go)

the scene is defined like so

<scene name="scene_2015_06_02_16_25_54__MG_9717_HDR_Panorama" havevrimage="true" title="Vista geral do transepto" onstart="activatespot(scene_2015_06_02_16_25_54__MG_9717_HDR_Panorama , 00);" thumburl="panos/2015_06_02_16_25_54__MG_9717_HDR_Panorama.tiles/thumb.jpg" lat="" lng="" heading="0" >

<view hlookat="-0.7743751599120969" vlookat="-19.275035615938055" fovtype="MFOV" fov="120" maxpixelzoom="2.0" fovmin="70" fovmax="140" limitview="auto" />

in pc i added this trace
trace(last_view_vlookat , ' ' , last_view_hlookat , ' ' , last_movement_tick , ' ' , last_tick );
so you could see the variation of the values
the webvrenabled is is bellow this piece of code so we could see the fields changing because webvr is enabled (otherwise i wouldn't know where it started in the log)
calc(webvr.friction, new_zoom GT 2.0 ? (new_zoom - 2.0) / 100.0 : 0);
trace('webvrenabled');

thank you for your time.

• Good day

I'll ask for advice
I'm a novice in krpano

I was very interested in https://krpano.com/forum/wbb/inde…&threadID=15582
The zooming in these examples will be controlled by one xml action -
https://krpano.com/viewsource.html?examp...m_test/test.xml

I can't put it into my virtual tour

I would like to advise what code and where to put it

well thank you

• Please let me know how it works for you.

Hi,

Following Klaus exemples I insert "webvr_zooming" action in the XML file of a multires pano :

https://www.archipel-studios.com/test_webvr/

Same problem as the one Coldmami and ramirox3 reported : when I start VR mode it zooms out instantly and the screen is black.

I have a MacBook Pro with Catalina/Safari and an Oculus Go.

Tour was generated by "MAKE PANO (MULTIRES) Droplet", krpano-1.20.2

XML file : https://www.archipel-studios.com/test_webvr/pano.xml

Any help would be appreciated *wink*

Christian

• So I just tried this with 1.20.5, the zooming works well but the new tiles don't seem to load at the correct levels. I have to set the max zoom to a very high level and zoom in very far for new tiles to load. I feel like the tiles should be loading at different (earlier) zoom levels. Is there a way to adjust that? I only want my users to be able to zoom at 10x, but the next set of tiles never load, so at max zoom you are just looking at a blurry image.

• Hi,
I tested (with krpano 1.20.7) The Tokyo 45 Gigapixel pano (up to 75x zoom).

“Zooming in webvr” works well on computer (Windows 10 + Internet browser) *smile*

However “Zooming in webvr” does not work with the Oculus Go (Oculus browser) *sad*

With the exponential development of VR in recent years, I think this option really has its place in krpano *thumbsup*

Can we hope to see its integration soon in a future krpano Downloads version: https://krpano.com/download/krpano ?

• Will the zooming function be updated to work with Oculus browser as this now does not work with Krpano 1.20.7? It still works in Firefox Reality but it is jerky and nausea inducing when you move your head. It would be great if the functionality suggested by the Facebook research project some 3 years ago could be implemented in Krpano.
