Question about VR-optimised images

Hi)

I just wanted to ask about those VR-optimised images Krpano generates inside "nnn.tiles/vr/" folder. What if I use "multires" droplet for all of my tours? What are the risks -- performance drop or browser crash on some phones? I tested a multires tour in VR (no VR-optimised cubes) and on my Redmi Note 4 phone it seems to work the same as with VR-images. Even the "zoom in VR" example (with no multireslock) works fine.
Regards,

Alexey

Hi,

the VR images are intended to avoid reloading during viewing (to avoid any interrupts during viewing because the browser blocks during the image decoding) and to keep the internal draw-calls as low as possible for best possible performance.

It depends on the size of the pano, the screen-resolution, the device, the browser and also set the headset if that might be noticeable.

Best regards,
Klaus
