Load new scene from new skin layer

Hi.
I have day and night views of a room, scenes 1 and 2, and for a second room, scenes 3 and 4.
I have added a button to the vtourskin_light.png and the vtourskin.xml. It's showing, positioned and the glow is working. So now I need it to load a scene onclick.
If current scene is 1, it should load 2, if 2 then 1, if 3 then 4, and if 4 then 3, all with KEEPVIEW. If this was a normal layer/plugin I could swap it out when each scene loads but this skin button is kept. How can I get these 4 conditionals to work please. Getscene name and Local args? I'm really only capable of copy/paste when it comes to code but hoping to get better at it. Thanks
