  • Hi,

normally the tools should start swapping-out the memory when the OS doesn't provide any memory anymore...

When the OS is killing the tools but at the same time reporting enough free memory the system itself would act a bit strange...

    Btw - which system?

You can try this calls and report the output:

    Code
    krpanotools transform -meminfo

    and

    Code
    krpanotools transform -memtest

    Best regards,
    Klaus

  • Hey Klaus,

it's a "CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core)" Linux virtualized in Hyper-V 2012R2 with 9GB Memory provisioned.

    Code
    -bash-4.2$ ./krpanotools transform -meminfo
    totalmem: 9828 MB
    availmem: 1058 MB
  • I run the `krpanotools makepano` script on a VM in a cloud.

The command `./krpanotools transform -meminfo` gives this:

    Code
    totalmem: 1682 MB
    availmem: 1057 MB

    and `./krpanotools transform -memtest` this:

  • Hellkeeper have you resolve your problem?

    Hey philippeK,
not sure anymore as it's already a few years in the past ... but I think I just threw more memory on it ... *wink*
VM is running with 16GB currently ... so I guess that was the solution ... :)
    bye from sunny Austria
