I have a promblem like a blackout screen issue with our VR_Store developed using Krpano software.

    [Description of the Issue/Error]

In the first few scenes, the movements between scenes are smooth and no problem, but the screens gradually comes to be unstable while moving and become a blackout screen finally.

This error occurred only while moving scenes including embedded video contents like the below picture but No problems while moving scenes not including video contents.

I tested on iPhone4 device with iOS: 10.3.3 and Safari 10.0, but any black-out issue was not occurred.

Additionally, website data size of adidas.co.kr was noramlly 40 Mb per VR_Store site link on iPhoneX, but the website data size was not over 1Mb on iPhone4.

(Website data size check: iPhone Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data)

    Finally, my test result are:

    1) There was black-out issue on iPhoneX with iOS: 11.4 and Safari 11.0. Additionally, website data was getting increased during access to the VR_Store and moving around. (about 40Mb each access)

    2) There was NO black-out issue on iPhone4 with iOS: 10.3.3 and Safari 10.0. Additionally, website data was kept 1Mb under during access to the VR_Store.

Could you anybody look into this issue and advice me to fix this problem?

Thanks for your help in advance!

  • First off... Darn impressive project.

Have you tried monitoring the site using developer tools? To see why there is a 10:1 data difference between the two phones plug them into a Mac (Enable developer tools in Safari and debug in the phone settings. It has been awhile so I don't remember all the details.) At a minimum, you will see what the data differences are and what is missing during the blackouts. Same for the desktop site.

If you only work on PCs create a virtual Mac using VMWare for phone debugging. You need a small hack or two but there are plenty of guides on the net for that.
