Dynamic creation and removal of old combobox

Hi,

i have a problem using the old combobox-plugin, which is dynamically created to display several hotspot-specific options.
On removal of the cobobox-layer the combobox disappears but the corresponding DIVs remain in the DOM, interfering with the pano movement and other hotspots' mouseover events.
How can the DIVs be completely removed?
