Transparent Button

Hi all.
Old question I think...
I have a case where I need an image to fill the browser window (no problem), then add "buttons" where the transparent part of an .png image does not react to mouseover....(problem..)

Polygonal hotspots does not work when you change the size of the window...
Distorted hotspots does not work over a "full window image"...

Any ideas?
