I, regularly have a problem - it is necessary to start some times a panorama (on krpano 1.08 beta 8,9) as in photoshop CS3, illustrator CS3 and 8, Corel Painter X there is only one active cursor "hand", restarting of programs does not help, only system reboot (Win XP Home SP3) and, reboot occurs to lag on start - after DOS-screen pass all stops - a black screen, after that RESET all settles into shape. Viruses are not present.
On a notebook the same problem, only system (Win XP Professional SP3) at reboot does not hang up.

Maybe your spacebar hangs? try hitting it hard once when the problem occurs. My spacebar does do it sometimes.

You are right - program hangs spacebar. I thought spacebar mechanical hangs...

But the problem with hangs WinXP on start is present also it on my observation is linked with krpano, as well as hangs spacebar in photoshop.
