iPhone simulator

What became of the iPhone simulator?
Its such a nice tool to test with. Its really irritating to upload to server all the time when testing iPhone interface.

I just discovered that it does not work with 1.20.

The last one was in 1.18 and it worked fine with 1.19

Hi,

the reason is that many browsers have already build-in device simulators and that there are now a lot of different iPhone and Android screen sizes.

Best regards,
Klaus

What? None of the Mac Browsers have simulators for mobiles.

Safari has always had what they User Agents but that does not give any clue at all about sacling or other behaviors.

enable developer mode and use responsive design mode... (safari)
ofc thats not an iphone emulator, but you can quickly check your design with various screen sizes

That is no help. Does not work at all, Looks like it does not use mobilescale;0.5

This is my IPhone 6 on the right side.

It looks like you have to use the screensizes on the right side to get correct scaling.

iPhone 8 has 1334x768 same as my iPhone 6

But the scaling is still wrong. It scales down to much

Maybe the screensize setting uses 0.5 scaling as a standard.
I atually have 0,6 mobilescale on this one.

Which means I can not use it for real testing,

I did some measurements on the width and the real resolution it shows is 810 pixels width not 768.

After making several tests its obvius that this simulator uses the standard 0.5 viewport and it does not react to changes using mobilescale.

But why it uses full resolution if you choose the iPgone 8 option I can not understand.

And of course it does not even recognise the devices settings which the Krpano IPhone-ipad simulator does.

Actually ther are not that many screensizes-
The important is the viewport width and there are only 2 of them for iPhones if we forget iPhone 5
For Android there is 360 and 480. The 412 goes together with the 414 iPhone.

SO PLEASE KLAUS
Make a 1.20 compatible one.

5 years ago I said JUST skip those Mobiles as I find it not at all useable for Virtual Tours but today everyone
has 6 or more GB download for the mobile so it is much more useable,
