Blendmode Question

I'm trying to convert the following from a basic alpha tween/hover to a blendmode hover (with either add, screen, multiply, etc.), so from this:

Source code

1
2
3
4
5
6
<action name="overeffect">
tween(plugin[%1].alpha,0.5,distance(0.4,0.3));
</action>
<action name="outeffect">
tween(plugin[%1].alpha,1,distance(0.4,0.3));
</action>

to this:

Source code

1
2
3
4
5
6
<action name="overeffect">
set(plugin[%1].blendmode,screen);
</action>
<action name="outeffect">
set(plugin[%1].blendmode,normal);
</action>

It doesn't seem to work and in the debugger it displays: ERROR unknown blendmode "1"

What am I doing wrong? And how would I tween the blendmode?

the code seems okay, do you have a online example?

tweening the blendmode is not possible,
only numberic values can be tweened,

Okay, I'll just use the basic alpha for tweening then.

Would "tweening the blendmodes" be a future feature or is this a limitation of Flash 10 ?

I know in FPP you can tween the glow, blur, etc; but not sure about screen, overlay and so on...

no, blendmodes can't be tweened, they are fixed states

see here for more informations about the blendmodes:

glow, blur and so are effects (or in actionscript language - "filters"),
I have planned to add them for the pano/hotspot and plugins for the final 1.0.8 version,
should be ready soon

best regards,
Klaus
