360 video problems on Safari MacOS with 1.20.9

With Safari 14.0.1 on Mac OS Big Sur 360 video panoramas don't work as expected with krpano 1.20.9. Behaviour:

• Video won't start on play (sometimes it will suddenly start after 5 minutes inactivity)
• Sometimes video will start after transitioning to another scene
• Sometimes video will start after you switch back from a new browser tab

We have an old tour build with krpano 1.19.16 which works fine (video resolution 4096x2048).

It looks like the new krpano version in combination with Safari has an issue with higher resolution video files. 1920x960 resolution works fine most of the times. The krpano demotour also has issues on Safari if you choose a higher (4096x2048) resolution:

Can anyone reproduce this or are there any ideas on how to fix this?

Upon further investigation I found out that even large videos (4096x2048) always start playing after you switch back and forth to a new Safari tab. Steps and actions:

• Open tour with video in Safari Desktop
• Press play to start video
• No response (console message on video mp4 file: "An error occured trying to laod the resource" Status 206 partial content)
• Open new tab
• Switch back to tour
• Video starts playing automatically
