Cropping panorama/moving center mouse

Is there a way to crop krpano so that the center of the panorama changes too. This could be useful for instance, if you make a menu to the left, but don't want the panorama be underneath the menu. This will

1) save performance (you can't see the panorama under the menu, but its still loaded under the menu
2) makes the center of a panorama alsoo the center of the movement.

I know this accomplish-able with html, by creating a table/div next to the krpano div. But then you had to create a semi complicated javascript system so that the menu can communicate with krpano.

Are you talking about this?

<area x="0%" y="0%" width="100%" height="100%" />

Change the settings a bit and it sounds like what you are looking for.

Michel made a great example here for resetting the area but it also shows the basic use of the <area> tag.…=STAGE#post9300

While he did not place any plugins outside of the <area> it can be done.

The entire window is usable to place whatever plugin you wish while the pano is separate. I believe you must use parent="STAGE" in the plugin to get the plugin outside of the selected area. Of course you can still place plugins inside the viewing area too.
