economic display of partial giga-panoramas

Sometimes, in a virtual tour, I use a partial giga-panorama. To display it I have to calculate a whole equirectangular. In fact, it is about 10 % of the image for 90 % of the black border ! Positioning of this image with regard to the sphere is necessary. Nevertheless, for a giga-panorama it represents a problem of the useless treatment of the data.
Krpano should propose the display of the partial panoramas considered as hotspots on the background of the virtual sphere. May it be possible?

Hi,

why not using just the partial pano without any black area around it?

it's possible to set the hfov, the vfov and a voffset for a partial pano,
with that it should be possible to display every partial pano correct,
(btw - setting the vfov is normally not necessary, when not set it will be calculated automatically)

e.g.

Source code

1
2
<image type="SPHERE" hfov="80" voffset="-5">
...

best regards,
Klaus
