All depends if you want to do a business with it ! open-source, or donation based would be nice as people can contribute and suggest features, modifications... What language do you develop with ?

i for one am waiting for a quality krpano editor the first person to do so i will buy thoer product and even if it is free i would be more than willing to donate money for thier efforts.

Interesting project. I'm surely hoping this editor project would get better as there is big need for stable/reliable tools to make working with krpano faster.

I would prefer that this editor software would be Open Source project hosted on GitHub as they have good tools for collaborative development. I know that there are many skilled ActionScript coders in the world and working together could help make toolset that helps more people. As what goes for the money part, combination of donations and consultation/custom development -based model could work. You would keep whole editor as open source project and if someone pays for custom development of new features, those would become part of openly developed version. Just hoping that there would be alternatives for closely guarded development models as using mix of open source and custom development model could help create software that is well beyond other competitors.

Good to know the GUI editor is being worked out for krpano, its the most required feature for karpano but not much of this were available. I will be listing the features soon.

Feature request
1. skin support, we should be able to make skins in any image editor & reuse those skins whenever required.
2. settings templates, we should be able to set all global setting of the project with a template & save it so the work can be faster by loading a template.
3. batch processing, just load a set of images & create virtual tour with the set template which will use a selected plugin & skin
4. sliding thumbnails, fading thumbnails, thumbnails position on any 4 sides should be possible
5. sliding menu for navigation with possibility of all 4 sides as per the user choice
6. auto transition from 1st to 2nd scene after a specified time this will be useful for self running kiosk showing panos.
7. auto transformation from fisheye to architectural projection with a set time on load (projection & their parameters should be selectable)
8. should be able to use customized loaders made with flash

This is what comes to my mind, will add more features once I do beta testing of the gui, let me know via private message when & where can I download it.
