pano image area different from swf stage area

I'm not sure how viable this would be... or if it would be very useful... but I was thinking it might open up some additional possibilities... as well as open up new problems and challenges.

Right now, the pano image is set to display in the full available stage area as set when the swf is embedded... but would it be possible to specify a different size for the image area and then position the pano image as needed?

I'm assuming that someone that has flash authoring skills (not me) could create their own "wrapper.swf" and place krpano within it.

Maybe a plugin "wrapper" could be used?

The primary benefit of something like this would be to enable a user to create areas outside of the pano viewing section for interface items, info boxes, maps, etc...

Well, that's my random thought for the day... *tongue*

Hi,

I have already planned that (but for version 1.0.9)

this is a little bit more complex thing, because it should be possible
to align the elements to the pano area and also to "screen" area,
and there are many small changes necessary for it,
and there is also flashplayer bug with the clipping mask, for which
I need to find a workaround before

in the current beta versions there is a "setarea(x,y,width, height);" action
it allows to set the area of the pano (only pixelsizes are allowed)
but this is only for testing and it will be not available in the final version in this way

best regards,
Klaus
