Video window inside a VR ..how to do it in krpano

Hi,

I saw in a different forum about embedding a video window inside a VR. http://homepage.mac.com/wkaemena/FS/Innotrans2008/Cama7/ (look for the small tv screen). He said he used flashificator. Is this possible with krpano? if yes could anyone give a sample? *smile*

it's not yet available in krpano... but planned for... no estimated time though.

clarification... you can play a video within krpano... you currently can NOT attach it to the image and have it distort dimensionally as the view is rotated, zoomed and otherwise moved.

Oh I see. I'm sure it's gonna look great when its done. *thumbsup*

What about the distorted hotspots here (I'm not sure what they are called). They're like photos on a desk that when you click it would show up in the middle of the screen - http://flashpanoramas.com/blog/2007/05/2…e-to-panoramas/. Is there gonna be something like this on the next releases? Btw, Thanks for the quick reply.

In the example with the photos... "distorted" hotspots is an applicable term and as shown in the sample is not currently possible. It would probably come available at the same time with the distorted video embedding.

You could mimic something similar if the original pano had the photos on the desk then you could outline them as polygonal hotspots (http://www.krpano.com/docu/xml/#hotspot) and setup the onclick to show an image plugin... but it would be limited in the effects to what you could do with the xml functions.

Hi,

"distorted hotspots" and "distorted videos" are technically/internally the same,
they are fixed planned for the 1.0.9 release (maybe earlier when there is enough time)

yes, of course

just change (set, tween, ...) any of its attributes (ath,atv, ox,oy, rx,ry,rz, scale,rotate, width,height, flying, ...)

I have been experimenting with flash video from youtube.

you need a safari browser

play video from youtube
goto WINDOW>Activity

you will see the video file source playing,click the file and save to desktop.

then add video hotspot to your pano with the link to the downloaded file

Actually what I meant was:

If I have an swf animation (eg a bouncing ball) - It works fine without distorted on - it bounces away nicely

If I distort - on

It stops on the first frame

Any ideas?

in this case it can be necessary to set the "refreshrate " manually,
e.g.

	Quellcode
1	<hotspot ... refreshrate="15" ... />

Hello Klauss,

Can you somehow advise how can I get something like this http://www.coffeemania.ru/ Please wait untill pano loads and see the bartender. It is video object somehow embedded in pano. How can I obtain the same result? Not a video window but a moving person.
